Even an eleven year old knows the importance of washing and sanitising hands.
“Sanitising or washing your hands is very important and we all need to remember that especially during Covid 19.
If we don’t sanitise and wash our hands, germs will spread which means everything you touch will get more and more germs on it.”
“Think of a germ as honey – it is very sticky which means that everything you touch is getting sticky and gross and is spreading onto everything you touch.
It is so important that we wash our hands to prevent the spread of germs. But try not to use too much sanitiser otherwise your hands might become too dry.
And always make sure that you wash or sanitise your hands thoroughly before eating!”
Stop the germs from spreading

Well, whatever you did today, you have certainly come into contact with germs. So it is really easy for a germ on your hand to end up in your mouth. What about all the foods you eat with your hands?

Make sure you wash for at least 20 seconds
They say you can sing “Happy Birthday” while you wash your hands – or sing whatever you want while you wash them for at least 20 seconds-
It is important to lather between your fingers and under your nails to remove the microbes from our skin.
Next time you are in a public toilet you should try singing as you wash your hands……then look around and see who wants to join in, or maybe not – Maddie has just reminded me that you should not make a fool of yourself in public toilets!
